Production

How long does it take to receive my jewelry?

All pieces are handcrafted in our NYC studio.

Recycled .925 Sterling Silver: Ships in 2–5 weeks

18k Gold Vermeil: Ships in 5–6 weeks

These lead times are estimates and may be affected by shipping carrier delays. You’ll receive a tracking number once your order leaves the studio.

What is Gold Vermeil and how is it made?

Our Gold Vermeil jewelry is made by casting each piece in recycled solid .925 Sterling Silver, then coating it in recycled 18k gold through an electroplating process. To increase durability, every piece is finished with an eco-friendly E-coating.

Where is your jewelry made?

Every piece is designed, cast, and finished in New York City. We are committed to ethical production and maintaining a low carbon footprint.

Why isn’t my .925 Silver piece stamped?

We exclusively use recycled .925 Sterling Silver, which maintains the same quality and purity as traditional silver. We’re in the process of updating our molds with a custom stamp that reflects our commitment to sustainability.

Do you offer wholesale?

Shipping

How will my order ship?

We ship via USPS to support our local post office.
If you're in a large city or have had past delivery issues, email us at contact@scarlettcdancer.com to request signature confirmation.

What kind of packaging do you use?

Our jewelry is packaged in 80% recycled boxes made in North Carolina. For every tree harvested, two more are planted. We also use recycled faux suede pouches, designed for long-term reuse.

Can I combine shipping with my Mercury Hour order?

We love that you support both brands! However, By Scarlett C. Dancer and Mercury Hour operate as separate sites and do not currently offer combined shipping.

What if my package is lost?

If your order is lost, please first file a claim with your local postal service. Then email us to see if your order qualifies for our insurance policy. Not all lost items are covered, but we’ll do our best to help prevent or resolve any issues.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! We ship worldwide.

  • Tracking is available until the package leaves the U.S.

  • International customers are responsible for customs fees and import taxes

  • We are not liable for delays, loss, or theft once the package has left the U.S., but we’ll assist however we can.

 

Returns and Repairs 

Can I cancel my order?

Due to the made-to-order nature of our work and associated processing fees, orders cannot be canceled after being placed. Please confirm all details before checking out.

What is your return policy?

We do not offer returns. However, you may request a replacement or store credit if your piece arrives damaged or defective. You must contact us within 5 days of receiving your order.

What if I ordered the wrong ring size?

You can request a free one-time resizing within 5 days of delivery. Any additional resizing requests will incur a production fee.

Do you offer repairs?

Yes! We repair damaged SCD pieces. Email contact@scarlettcdancer.com to find out if your piece qualifies for free or paid repair. We’ll provide details on turnaround time and costs.
